Playoff key art and channel thumbnails for Sweden's handball league

01Overview

Handbollsligan.live is the streaming home of Swedish handball. I built the 25/26 playoff key art, a repeatable thumbnail system for their YouTube channel, and social creative that pulls the league out of the standard sports-graphic playbook.

02Playoff key art

Everything runs off league blue and yellow. The playoff hero stacks cut-out players across a burning arena, with the Slutspel 2026 crest holding the centre and an oversized PLAYOFFS wordmark carrying the depth behind them. The YouTube thumbnails were designed using YouTube A/B testing these layouts are the ones that performed best.

03YouTube thumbnails

A repeatable thumbnail system for the league channel: one player cut out at full bleed, surname set huge in condensed caps behind the shoulder, first name whispered above it, and the Handbollsligan Live lockup anchored bottom-left. Arena colour is pulled from the kit, so every upload reads as the same channel without ever looking like the same frame.

04Outcome

One visual system that survives a 16:9 banner, a thumbnail at 320px, a comic carousel and a 9:16 story always unmistakably Handbollsligan.
